Last week, I was meeting and greeting all the clients departing on their trips and two girls stood out as having a lot of fun taking photos of the ‘start’ of their trip. Taking photos of their names on the departure board, making sure their bags were in the shot.
I went to chat to them and then realized that these were our two deaf clients from Argentina, booked on our 8 day Okavango Delta and Victoria Falls trip. We spoke with some lip reading and I took this photo of them just before they got into their vehicle to depart. After they left, I realized that they were lip reading in English - not their first language! I was so impressed.
Now our guide has returned after dropping the girls at the airport in Livingstone. They had a fantastic trip by all accounts. They used a fair bit of pen and paper when dealing with important explanations but also chatted lots. This trip is full of experiences for anyone but to do this with no hearing must have been quite amazing – especially the bungy jump at Vic Falls! I’m hoping to be in touch with them both soon to find out first hand if their trip lived up to their expectations.

Wow! A really inspiring account. If they had a blast and couldn’t even hear what the guide was saying, well, that guide must be the best in the world!! I am ready for that kind of trip. I am getting out my calendar now and choosing the date. :D

SAFARI really all of the 7 and 8 days across Namibia. Botswana and Zambia. was beautiful. and returning to our country and we have marked ALWAYS IN OUR LIVES.
